While not required, we recommend students new to the financial industry take FCSC 350 “Financial Skills for Life” prior to beginning the required courses.


Non-native English speakers are welcome to participate in the program, but will need to have a minimum TOEFL score of 80 iBT, or minimum IELTS band score of 6.5. Before you begin, you will need to complete either the TOEFL or IELTS tests with at least the minimum scores mentioned above. 2.    You intend to complete the program within 4 years of beginning your first class.

3.     This program is noncredit, and no college credit can be awarded at any time.

4.     All classes are graded Pass/Fail, and students must earn an equivalent of C- or higher to earn a Passing score. Each class must be passed in order to receive the certificate.

5.     All classes must be Passed before a certificate can be awarded. If students Fail a class, they must retake that class and pay all associated tuition and fees again.

6.     An official student record will be made for you at the University of Utah if you do not already have one, and all course work will be reflected on your noncredit transcripts.
